Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of invoicegenerator.au (the “Site”) and the free online document tools provided by Invoice Generator Australia (collectively, “Invoice Generator”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About our service

Invoice Generator provides a free, browser-based tool for creating invoices, quotes, credit notes, and purchase orders, and for downloading those documents as PDF files. The service is designed for Australian businesses, freelancers, and sole traders who need a simple way to produce professional billing documents.

We do not require you to create an account to use the core features of the Site. Draft data may be stored locally in your browser so you can return to your work. When you download a PDF, the information you submit is processed to generate your document.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Site. By using Invoice Generator, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and that your use of the Site complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you enter into the Site and for any documents you create, send, or rely upon. This includes, without limitation:

  • The accuracy of business names, ABNs, addresses, line items, amounts, tax calculations, and payment details;
  • Ensuring your invoices, quotes, credit notes, and purchase orders comply with applicable tax, accounting, and consumer laws;
  • Correct application of GST, withholding, or other taxes in Australia or any other jurisdiction where you operate;
  • Obtaining any necessary consent before including personal information about your clients or suppliers in a document;
  • Verifying that generated PDFs are correct before sending them to customers, suppliers, or third parties.

Invoice Generator is a document creation tool only. We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and nothing on the Site should be interpreted as such.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Site. You must not:

  • Use the Site to create fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful documents;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or related systems;
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site in a way that interferes with its normal operation;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Site except where permitted by law;
  • Use automated means to access the Site in a manner that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

Intellectual property

The Site, including its design, layout, branding, software, text, graphics, and underlying code, is owned by Invoice Generator or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Site for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Site without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of the content you enter into the Site. By submitting content for PDF generation, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Free service

Invoice Generator is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, modify existing features, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. If we introduce fees in the future, we will provide reasonable notice before they apply to your use of the Site.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all content, templates, and generated documents are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Invoice Generator disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any document generated through the Site will meet your legal, tax, or business requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Invoice Generator and its operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Site or any document created through it.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Site in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) AUD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Invoice Generator and its operators from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, the content you submit, documents you create or distribute, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Third-party services and links

The Site may reference or link to third-party websites, tools, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies.

Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Invoice Generator available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, technical issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.

We may update, modify, or remove features of the Site at any time without notice. We are not responsible for any loss of locally stored draft data if you clear your browser storage, change devices, or if your browser no longer supports local storage.

Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Australia for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site, subject to any non-excludable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our service, legal requirements, or business practices. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
